Introduction to the WGV Translation
<< Scripture
by www.exploringsalvation.info

The WGV translation is my own English translation of the Scriptures. It is a literal, word-for-word translation retaining the sentence structure used in the original Hebrew or Greek for accuracy of translation without additions or changes to the text. It also aims for a college level vocabulary for precision of meaning.

The Old Testament work is done primarily from the Masoretic text but with cross references to the Septuagint.

The New Testament work uses a more eclectic approach which starts with the Greek Byzantine text and cross-references with other Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, and other language sources whan I can get access to them.

Relatively little of the Scriptures have thus far been translated. My focus has been on the books of Moses and the book of Matthew. Other passages are done on an as needed basis so far.
