Elder's Model of Creation
Science part 0: General Summary
1. Physics Physics, the study of forces and the properties of matter, shows that everything in the physical universe is deteriorating. This fits not only the theory of a special creation that is under a curse and wearing out, but is in accord with the known laws of physics such as the laws of thermodynamics and the conservation of angular momentum. The physical properties that can be measured (such as magnetism, temperature, and existence of short lived features) also indicate a young universe only thousands of years old.
2. Chemistry Chemistry, the study of compounds and reactions, demonstrates the youthfulness of the universe as things have not reached a stable equilibrium that would be expected with age such as the location of helium. Even the very existence of the medium to heavy elements should not be possible by naturalistic causes.
3. Meteorology Meteorology, the study of earth's atmosphere, shows the changes that have undergone the atmosphere such as reduced oxygen.
4. Geology Geology, the study of the earth's land forms, exhibits the rates of erosion, deposition, and decay that is consistent with a young earth only thousands of years old. The earth contains sedimentary layers and plate tectonics showing rapid formation and catastrophic deformation. The earth's molten core, rotation in space, decaying magnetic field, and polar ice caps also demonstrate youth.
5. Hydrology Hydrology, the study of earth's water, reveals the effects water has had upon this planet through flooding and glacier formation. This includes the evidence of a worldwide flood that devastated the world and has produced the earth's current surface more than any other physical action.
6. Botany Botany, the study of plants, show the appearance of fully developed and fruit bearing plants with the photosynthetic ability to support life.
7. Astronomy Astronomy, the study of everything beyond the earth, displays the youthful properties of the solar system, galaxy, and universe through such things as the existence of meteorites, the rapid spiral of the galaxy formations, and the relatively few supernova remnants. It also displays that nothing new is being formed by the lack of new star formation.
8. Zoology Zoology, the study of animals, exhibits the sudden appearance of complex life forms rather than a linear progression of simple to complex. The fossil record indicates rapid formation with no intermediates between kinds. Genetic studies show only the narrowing of available genes rather than the appearance of anything new.
9. Anthropology Anthropology, the study of mankind and cultures, reveals that people did not develop from a primitive animal and has existed simultaneously with dinosaurs. Also revealed is the sudden appearance of many developed language groups.
