Physics, the study of forces and the properties of matter, shows that everything in the physical universe is deteriorating. This fits not only the theory of a special creation that is under a curse and wearing out, but is in accord with the known laws of physics such as the laws of thermodynamics and the conservation of angular momentum. The physical properties that can be measured (such as magnetism, temperature, and existence of short lived features) also indicate a young universe only thousands of years old.
