Exploring Salvation

Introduction to the Covenant Model

Source Material

The primary source for the Covenant Model comes from the first five books of Scripture. These are often referred to as the Books of Moses, the Torah in Judaism, or the Pentateuch in Christianity. These books contain the covenant that have historically and currently effect the relationship between the One Most High and mankind. The other books of Scripture show the history of those covenants and contain prophecy about a future covenant yet to be made.

Scripture

The covenant (books of Moses) and the history of the covenant (history, wisdom, prophets, gospels, epistles, and possibly others).

The Sinai Covenant

The Sinai Covenant

The theme of the Covenant is sanctification. Sanctified by law.

The Sabbath

The Almighty sanctified the seventh day sabbath at the time of creation. He declared it to be a sign for His people forever.
